Paying Safely

How payment works

When you win an auction, buy it now or get an offer accepted, a deal opens. You and the other person agree how to pay in Pyooom chat. Pyooom does not take, hold or refund payments and charges no fee.

Pyooom Coin, a secure in-app option, is coming later.

Buyers

Pay only when you are face to face with the item and have inspected it. Never send a deposit, gift cards, a wire or crypto to someone you have not met.

Prefer cash or an instant transfer at the meetup. Payment-app purchase protection varies; check yours.

Sellers

Count cash, or wait until an instant transfer shows in your account, before you hand the item over. Ignore overpayment offers, "my courier will collect" and requests to move to another chat app.

Confirm the handoff

Once the trade is done, show your QR or 6-digit code; the other person scans or types it and the deal completes, so you can rate each other.

Something wrong?

Report a problem on the deal or report the user from their profile. Support can warn or suspend accounts and close deals, but cannot recover money paid between users.
